I Need Access Help Please

First time in this group

Using Microsoft Access because I was advised that it was the bees knees of a
program,
I want to create a database into which I can put details of items that I
have in the house, like washer, cooker etc etc etc. I found that this bit is
relatively easy, but, I also want to include a picture of the item, not so
easy. I also want to be able to print out a sheet for each item separately
with picture on.

Can anyone help please ..... ?

What do you want with? Where to get it or how to use it? And I gotta tell
you, using Access for a home inventory seems like overkill to me. (Now I'll
have the Access MVPs made at me.) If you have other needs for it, that's
different but $198.87 (at Amazon.com, standalone version) is more than I'd
want to pay for just one reason.

It is Access 2000 that came with Office 2000. It has been on the PC for
ages, but I have never used it, like I have never used PowerPoint or
FrontPage.
I will probably use it for other things once I get to know how to use it,
but if you could enlighten me to a simpler program to do the home inventory
on I would be most grateful.

I know that Works has (had?) a home inventory template that would suit your
needs. Even Word could be used.

And just so you know, I had grandiose plans to do the same thing (with
Works). We'll be in our home 7 years on October 1 and it's not even started.
