I need template for a ticket booklet

I am trying to produce a ticket/coupon book about the size of a business card
for my hang gliding business. My thoughts are to use actual business card
stock as the front and back cover and regular bond paper for the serial
numbered tickets. Has anybody tried to do something like this? I am looking
for some assistance as a new publisher user.

What version Publisher?
Are you going to use card stock that you will separate manually?
Business cards are 3.5 x 2 inches.
Setup your page this way
Click Custom in page setup
Input 7" wide and 2" in height
Click change copies per sheet
Change the gaps to zero.
This will give you 5 coupon books.
In the publication page, arrange, set your margins to whatever. For this example I
used .2 on all sides, on the grid guides tab, select 2 columns with .4 spacing. Check
"Add center line..."
Depending on your printer you will probably have to setup two instances of Publisher,
one for the cover and one for the inside pages since you are using two different
types of stock.
Keep in mind, the right side will be the front cover.

This is an easy project to implement. Here are a few suggestions. Instead of
using business card stock for the cover, how about using an instant dry
(microporous) photo paper as the cover. You could print photos of a soaring
hang glider on both the front and back. I recommend microporous paper as it
is water resistant - nearly waterproof. You could also set up a jpeg file
with the cover image 3up and have them printed as a photograph anywhere
there is a Fuji photo processor (Wal-Mart, Walgreen's, Sam's, etc...) The
inside tickets would need to be perforated to tear out cleanly. You can get
a very nice Fiskars photo trimmer at warehouse clubs, office supply
superstores or arts & craft stores. A rotary cutter wheel is included and
you can also purchase perf and score wheels. Creating consecutive numbers
for the tickets is very easy. This would give you a very professional
finish. If you would like some free assistance on this project, send me a
private email and we can discuss it in more detail. I've owned several print
shops and since I'm now retired I have a little extra time to help new
users.

In addition to all of the other suggestions, in Excel enter your beginning
serial number in the first row. Then click in that cell, and position the
cursor over the lower right corner of the cell and drag it down until you
reach the upper limit of your numbering.

Then do a mail merge to print the ticket numbers on your business card. I
have used this technique in printing tickets for several black tie balls for
our local charity.
