i need to crop document have windows xp home edit on a laptop

Hi can someone assist me please. I have to do an assignment for my
coursework which requires me to crop a document using the picture toolbar. I
have windows xp home edition and i cannt dinf that tool bar anywhere. please
help im desperate many thanks
