I need to draw in isometric in Visio. Is there an Iso grid?

I would urge caution when trying to use Visio for isometric drawings. Visio
is simply not designed for 3D modeling. Drawing units become meaningless,
and it becomes a chore to get shapes (especially subshapes) to appear in the
correct Z-order. There are some good, intuitive 3D tools out there-
SketchUp is one example.

so if you are trying to draw something complex "jet engine turbine"...visio
is not the answer. If you are trying to draw isometric 3D block
diagrams...visio is fine. I actually took the isometric stencils and added
color shading and light source/shading reference without alot of trouble.

I guess what I am saying is that for 3D business diagramming...its fine.
for any serious CAD or detailed artwork...better tools out there.
