I need to open a WordPerfect file in my Word:Mac 2008

As the subject indicates, I need to open a WordPerfect file in my Word:Mac 2008 and I can not find any converter to do so. Can someone tell me if it's possible and, if so, where to find the Converters or, if not, so I can stop looking? Thank you.

Not in Word, it's not possible. The best option is to ask the WP user to
resend as .doc. But you can also try the free AbiWord, which will open
WP files.

If you have access to a PC running Word you can open it there (depending on
which version of WP created the file) then Save As a .doc or .docx which
Word 2008 can use. WP filters on the Mac were discontinued several version
back. [If PC Word can't open that file version you can fine dth filters
available for download (PC Only) in teh middle of this page:
