I need to open an .xls file in Win XP? Help.

I know this sounds a bit lame, but i need to open an .xls file, Excel
spreadsheet but i cant on Win XP. Is there a download that can allow me to
use the spreadsheet program in the Works Task Launcher? Or do i need to get
Excel 2003?

Works 7.0 and 8.0 spreadsheet programs should be able to open most Excel
files, but not all of Excel's features are supported. Also, if the Excel
workbook has multiple worksheets, you can only open one at a time in Works.
You can also try downloading and installing the free Excel viewer from
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=273711, but new Excel features introduced
after Excel 2000 are not supported.
