I/O Error in PPT

I receive this error when using the open command in ppt. I have MS Office
2000. My question is will upgrading to MS 2003 sp2 overwrite the registry
entries from MS office 2000 so that this error statement is completely
eliminated.

I don't think upgrading is the answer here.

Instead, try the links here:
"An unexpected error occurred - I/O Error 0" or "An unexpected error
occurred - I/O Error 6"
