I paste a text object, but line jumps to the sides. What is wrong?

Imagine I have a Visio page, top corner of diagram. Visio 2007
1.0.6336.5001) SP1.

I removed all objects from that specific location on the diagram to make
sure other objects are not causing the problem I will report below.

Then I attempt to paste a text line "Hello world" on that section of the
diagram.

I attempt to move the text line there (or any other drawing) and the
respective text or object I paste immediately jumps to the side or bottom
from where it is placed.

What is wrong and how can I fix this?

Note:It would be great if we could also attach files when posting questions.
It could help a lot showing drawings explaining what the problem is).

I noticed that is definitely caused by another shape arround. I see a
"square, green" indicating the size of the neigbhor shape. If I attempt to
paste a new shape around the neighbor shape, then my shape "jumps". It is
kind of I can't invade the other shape.

I have other documents where I do not have that problem/behavior though.

I am wondering which option I need to use to stop this annoying behavior.

On the page that seems to have collision avoidance (my term), go the File >
Page Setup > Layout and Routing. Most likely "Move other shapes away on
drop" is checked. Uncheck that and the behavior should stop.
