I restored my computer and it erased the product code for word

I looked on the conf. e-mail that micosoft sent me after I ordered it on line
and the code is not there. I wrote it down but that was in 2005 I dont want
to purchase this again all my documents are locked HELP!!!

I am in a similar position. WE cannot retrieve the email that has the code
sent to us two years ago. I hope you get a helpful reply.

Restoring a PC allmost allways destroys all data.
Unless you have data backups, inc email, and the actual installation file
you have allmost certainly lost it.
If you have proof of purchase, order email & credit card receipt you may be
able to obtain a copy

Include as much information as you have about the purchase. If you used a
Windows Live ID at purchase time, you should be able to retrieve a copy of
your invoice using the "Purchase History" link. They do respond within 1
business day.

The entry of the product code will not "unlock" documents - you have to
ACTIVATE the product as well. Have you done so?
