I run 97 and upgraded my operating sytem from Win 98 to Xp.

When running Office 97 software (Excel adn Word) I get errors messages
relating to Microsoft Visual Basic. Any ideas?

Was the "upgrade" a clean install, as in the HD was formatted in between
the two operating systems or one where all the baggage from the DOS
version of Windows was left on the PC? I would suggest a uninstall and
reinstall of Office to correct the Win98 baggage.
