You don't say which version of Access you're using, but some possible

Thanks will check that out.
It happened with Access 2000 and Access XP.
Also MS Jet Engine with not let me import .dbf files with file names creater
than 8 characters.

Still no good.
Reinstalling Access 6 times does not work.
Completely uninstalling and reinstalling (all of office) does not work.
