I share a printer. but can not print documents, why?

I share a printer with another computer. The second computer goes through
mine to print his documents. Yesterday my printer stopped printing my
documents. The computer tells my the document is forwarded and is printing
but the printer is not printing the document. Can anyone help me fix the
problem? I am a computer illiterate, so please give me an answer I can
understand.

We both have XP.
