I want to have toolbar icons for selecting the language for spell.

If I wnat to change the language for the spelling corrector (which I need to
do frequently), I always need to go through a number of menu steps, which is
annoying. I would like to be able to add icons to a toolbar to select a
particular language, so that selecting the language requires just a single
action

You can add this to your toolbar.
Start a new Mail Message
Right-click on the Email Toolbar and select Customize
In the Commands tab select Tools under Categories
In the Commands section locate Language and drag and drop it to the toolbar.
