I want to know how to change a register name on the windows xp

I would like to change the register name on my computer under Windows XP
Service Pack 2, is there any way I can change the register name without
reinstalling the software and removing it to start all over? The name is
under my husband's name Bill, it is my computer and program, I would like it
in my name Connie so that everything reads in my name and not his. thank you

This is not an Office question but either alter the name manually in
the Registry with Regedit or get a tool here:
