I am using MS Publisher 2003 & wish to produce a multi page A5 magazine for a
running club. I have no trouble working it on full page setting, but the
printing company I have gone to are having trouble printing to A5. Is there
something I can do to produce it at A5? Also the printing is only low volume
so the cheapest method is by laser copying. How do I prepare the pages for
copying. eg Do I set up page 20 & 1(in that order) for the cover?
I hope somebody can help, I have deadlines!

Bob,

One of the issues with Publisher output is that ‘full page’ generally means
that Publisher takes the page size of default printer when you go to print,
if the publication used wizards the result is generally a real disaster
(which is why commercial printer generally prefer not to sea publications
created by wizards), at the very least page items tend to shift around and
resize. The trick is to set the printer sheet size from the page setup larger
than the publication page size, then use custom page size and input the page
size in inches, points, Centimetres or whatever unit of measure you are using
(I think A5 is 6.929"x 9.843"). If you are dealing with a commercial printer
that is familiar with Publisher the will already know how to deal with this
issue, however most prefer Quark or InDesign files (on the Mac), and have
minimal interest in dealing with Publisher files if they accept them at all.

What is the problem the printer is having?

Pls correct me if I'm wrong, but 2 A5s fit onto an A4...correct? You've
set the publcation up as an a5 page size but want to print it out as 2-
up on an A4?
