What kind of data? You would need to post to a newsgroup associated with
the program you are using. Windows XP is the operating system, what program
is the data used by?

Is this a Microsoft Access databse? This newsgroup is for Access database
questions.

This is a Microsoft Access newsgroup, and really not the best place to ask
your question. A word of warning seems in order here, though - reformatting
your diskette is absolutely the *last* thing you should to do if you want to
retrieve any data from it, as reformatting erases any data on the disk.

The spammers and script-kiddies have succeeded in making it impossible for
me to use a real e-mail address in public newsgroups. E-mail replies to
this post will be deleted without being read. Any e-mail claiming to be
from brenreyn at indigo dot ie that is not digitally signed by me with a
GlobalSign digital certificate is a forgery and should be deleted without
being read. Follow-up questions should in general be posted to the
newsgroup, but if you have a good reason to send me e-mail, you'll find
a useable e-mail address at the URL above.

The format of a floppy disk is the same for all versions of Windows. If it
was created in, for example Windows 95, it can be read by Windows XP
