I have a new computer with publisher 2003 installed, I have used publisher
xp for years with no problem, now when i insert a picture, logo or graphic
nothing appears except the tags and I am doing real estate flyers and need to
see my graphics. I am not very good with the workings of computers as I
depended on my son to do all that, however he recently passed away getting a
heart/lung transplant and i am lost . Can someone help in plain english

Have you checked View|Pictures? Make sure Detailed Pictures is selected.

(And I'm sorry about your loss.)

This is almost certainly a problem with your video driver.

By going to Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot, and
dragging the Hardware Acceleration slider down three notches, you will be
able to disable Publisher from making the calls on the video driver that
cause this problem.

If this does fix your problem, it means that the problem does indeed lie
with the video driver. You can leave your computer running at this lower
hardware acceleration, but it may cause problems with other programs. It is
a better solution to try and find a driver update for your graphics card.
Normally, the latest drivers from the video card manufacturer will do the
trick, but ATI tend to be slower in perfecting their drivers, so some newer
ATI cards to not yet have drivers available that do not exhibit this
behaviour. The solution here is to nag ATI for better drivers.

Brian, I'm not really sure which the card is, as I said i was totally
dependent on my son to set up, troubleshoot and make everything work. Ithink
it might be an Intel Graphics Miniport driver ( does that make any sense to
you?- Iw wasn't sure where to look ) I am also having problems with Outlook
2003, all my data was backed up to the new computer , but it will not let me
into address book or save anything new in Address book. I very much
appreciate everyones help. I need my Brandyn back
