ICS Internet Calendar Subscription file won't open in Outlook 2007

I have been using the "send as internet calendar" option between Outlook 2003
home and office systems to keep both systems up to date for meetings and
such. I just upgraded to Office 2007 and found that .ICS files generated in
Outlook 2003 will not open in Outlook 2007.
I first get an info message: This file cannot be previewed because there is
no previewer installed for it.
If I double click on the ICS attachment and try to open the attachment I get
an error message: application not found.
If I save the ICS attachment and then try to open it with Outlook 2007 I get
an error pop-up: "The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch
that you are using."

Can you save it and then import it?
File | Import and Export | Import an ICalendar (ics) ...

Just to add to this - If you are using Vista then you might be able to set
the association to Outlook in Set Associations accessed via Default Programs
in Control Panel.
If you aren't using Vista then you can manually set it but will need to copy
the association from another machine.

Importing the saved .ics file worked, but it is an extra step. I am using XP
SP2, but will investigate the association angle, too. Thanks muchly!

Sorry I can't supply the settings to associate it. I'm on Vista. If someone
else can then ... :)
