I'd like easier cut and paste functionality

I find it a chore to re-organize content in cells, cutting and pasting takes
too long, It would be cool if I could for instance use the Alt key to drag
and drop a copy of a cell and maybe the Shift+Alt keys to move content.

Perhaps you'd find a review of the keyboard shortcut section of the help file
illuminating

Ctrl + left mouse button drag DOES copy a cell or range of cells

Ctrl + right mouse button drag gives you a multitude of choices

Ctrl-X and Ctrl-V will MOVE a cell or range of cells

with control & left mouse to COPY - ensure you let the mouse go first and
then the control otherwise it will MOVE the data as does just dragging with
the left mouse button down on the cell border of the active cell

Hi Duke

it's the order you let the control & mouse go after you drag that makes a
difference, if you let the mouse go before the control it moves, if you let
the mouse go after it copies ...
