Identifying TM changes in Updates page

How can I see in my updates page, start and finish variances that are caused because of resource's reports ?
My resource reports me that he had started working on an assignment in a delay, I want to see this new start date (actual start) in my updates page.

This is only possible if you're collecting that data from the resource. For
instance, if you're using the report hours worked by day, then you can use
your view options to show planned work in your updates view. This would show
you by day what work was scheduled. If work starts on Tuesday, but was
scheduled to start on Wednesday, Tuesday will show actual work but no
planned work. If you're not using this tracking method, then you'll need to
push a date field to the timesheet to allow you to collect the information.
Any field you push to the timesheet will appear in your updates page as
well.
