IE7 problem when checking out documents in MS project

When I try to check out a document using IE7 nothing happens. When I
uninstall IE7 and use version 6 and checkout a document everything works
fine. Can someone help me with the problem? We would like to still be able
to use IE7.

If you are using Project Server, non-administrator accounts need to have a
task assignment in the project in order to open the document libary. Being a
resource on the Task Sheet is not enough. Try adding a zero-hour assignment

This user is an administrator using IE7
only edit properties executes checkout...but not the check-out option itself

We're still on IE6. This sounds like a defect issue. Sharepoint will not
work with some older versions of Office, but a newer browser should not break
it. Sorry I can't help more.
