IF a project is saved, do we need to publish them again ?

Hi, I m really confused with the above-mentioned issue.

I had realised that when a project is been saved, it is
also been updated in the project server. If that is the
case, do I still need to publish the project ?

Thanks

The answer to your question is probably "Yes"

When you say your project is "updated in the Project Server", I am not sure what you mean. If you mean that you have turned on the option to "Publish new and Changed" when the file is saved (in Menu>Collaborate>Collaborate Options...>), then you do not need to do an additional publish

However, if Project is not set to Auto-Publish on save, then you will need to publish the project so resources can new or changed assignments in their task list. If you are using Project Server 2003 and allow self-assignment, then not publishing at EVERY save can generate big problems in the database

Hope this helps

Mike
