IF function to set value based on color?

Is there a function that defines a value based on color?

My example - I have been given a spreadsheet thousands of lines long, and some rows have been formatted a different color. Is there a way to assign a value to a cell in that row based on the color of the row, or to place a value in a cell based on the color of the cell to its left?
