If I reload Office, what happens to the files I've made with it?

I would like to reload my Office xp 2002, because for some reason I didn't
load Excel while I loaded Office for the first time. Before I do that, I
would need to know, what happens to the Word-files I've made using Office?
Will they disappear? I guess not, but just to make it sure - it would be a
catastrophe if they did.

As long as you didn't save any of your documents in the Office
installation folders they should be fine.

Reloading Office should have no effect on your Word files. On the other
hand you say it would be "a catastrophe if they did" seems to indicate
that you have not made backup copies of these files. If you have but one
copy of of files, you're flirting with disaster. MAKE BACKUPS NOW!!!!!
