IF Text Begins with..

Is there a way of setting up a logical formula that says =IF (in A1..text
begins with "Travel", B1,"")?

I have an expenses sheet with a number of different items such as Travel
(Hotels), Travel (Meals), Travel (Train Fare), etc with a cost in column B,
and I want to pull all the "Travel" costs in to one column (C).

Try this in C1:

=IF(LEFT(A1,6)="Travel",B1,"")

and copy down
