I want to create a formula in Excel so that if the value in C6 is less than
the value in B6, then F6 will calculate 175/3. F6 has to calculate 175/3
instead of just entering 58.33 because the sum must equal 175, not 174.99.
Also, I want the value of F6 to be numerical so that Excel will sum the
cells. This is an example of how I want the sheet to look.
Note: If actual is less than plan, the payout is 1/3 of $175.00. If actual
is more than the plan, the payout is $0. Formula needed to calculate Payout.
Total Payout is sum of individual payouts.
Plan Actual Variance Payout
Expense 1 45,000 5,000 40,000 58.33
Expense 2 60,000 20,000 40,000 58.33
Expense 3 12,000 25,000 (13,000) 0.00
Total Payout 116.66
