ii get error code 1608 when i try to install office xp professio.

i just reinstalled windows xp service pack 1 and then ran all the
updates..now i can't reinstall office xp professional because after i input
the product key it says unable to find a qualifying product; when i input a
drive to look in (i've tried c,d,e,g) it gives me an error code 1608; unable
to locate qaulifying product
