illegal operation: When I open a spreadsheet!!

I have a spread sheet and when i open it gives me the
error message windows based, this program has prefomed an
illegal operation and will be shut down, if the program
persits contact the program vendor:
EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in
module MSO9.DLL at 0167:308d03a5.
