I'm attempting to insert .wmv but keep crashing. HELP!

I've followed instructions in help, and still no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have two text slides, one introducing the short video (not more than 1
minute).
Three slides in total.

The video could be the problem. Play the video in the MCI media player
(START >> RUN >> type
MPLAY32.EXE ). Does it work?

I am getting a memory error however when I close the program.
