i'm doing ecdl using 2003 but only have 2000?

Am i going to have to purchase microsoft works 2003 to be able to practise
from my workbooks at home?

Andy,

Most of the stuff in 2003 works in 2000. And the files are interchangeable
(2000 will open 2003 files and vice versa).

Microsoft Works doesn't include Excel -- you need Microsoft Office.

thankyou very much for your reply. and sorry still bit new to this stuff! i
take it there is no way of putting excel or office on my computer because i
have home edition?

Office will work fine with Home Edition.

You need to get MS Office or a standalone version of Excel. If you want a
cheap version look at EBay and get a previous version, there are hardly any
differences between for example excel 200 and 2003, even 97 would work. You
can also download a trial version of 2003 from MS or even a beta of excel
2007 for $1.50 from MS as well
