I'm having trouble unlocking Word

I have tried doing everything that I was suppose to do in Help and I still
could not unlock the Word document I wanted to work on.
I hit view, clicked on Outline and nothing further came upl

What do I do next?

pertinent information about what your problem is? If it is 'Word is Locked
for Editing', this has been answer thousands of time previously. You have
either not activated your product or the product came with a new computer
and was only a 60-day trial version. If you click Help, Activate Product...
you will find out which problem you have.
