I'm looking for a database to use for a small auto repair shop.

A friend has basically a one man shop and wants to keep track of customer
info and service performed. And be able to look up the info by customer
name, auto type, date of service, etc. Anyone have something he could use?

Yes, I do have such although it's more for businesses which repair is
not their primary focus but do have mechanics. In a few days I'll
have the invoicing module in place.
