I'm looking for Accounting software for nonprofit organizations,

I'm looking for Accounting software for nonprofit organizations, like for a
church ministry, or a nonprofit thrift store. I couldn't find anything in SBA
itself, and only found an article on colaboration for Great Plains. I'd like
to stick with a Microsoft product or find plugins for SBA...any help? Don't
want to reinvent he wheel and Quickbooks is confusing in terminology. Thanks
so much...

Quickbooks has a version specifically for non-profits, although you can use
any version. If you're not an accountant (or accountantly inclined) pay a
few bucks to an accountant (for whatever program you go with) to have them
set up the initial setup...the rest is a piece o'cake.

The problem with Quickbooks is that they haven't printed a Nonprofit CD since
2002. Another company writes for them and all they've done is change the
terminology of the standard forms and charged a higher price for the same
basic thing. Just wanted to know if MS had something...price isn't the
issue...it's my stuborness to stay with MS...smiles...

I'm building and donating two computers for a ministry that lost everything
in the New Orleans flood and shipping them to them. That is what the software
will be for. The insurance companies seem to be holding back on most people
there including these who have proof of full coverage. So in the meantime we
are helping them out this way. One computer is for editing and copying the
ministries recent content to CD or DVD and one is for accounting and follow
up on donations, and general purposes...they are turning the church building
into a wharehouse to store items for the retuning city folk and will need to
keep track of what is brought in...seems the whole city has turned upside
down in purpose...

I help alot of my local customers here in MV with Quickbooks...so been
there...

Blessings...
