some form of confirmation in the Microsoft documentation to confirm that the
Windows screensaver is disabled during a PowerPoint presentation. Any idea
where I can find that confirmation? Needed for a client

Thanks

Hi,

I found something that says:

Laptop Integration
Microsoft realizes that users frequently give presentations from their
laptops. With PowerPoint 2000, Windows screensavers are disabled during a
presentation. In addition, the laptop's low-power screen mode has been
disengaged to prevent interruptions during a presentation.

As noted by Glen and Taj, the screensaver is disabled while a presentation
is running. BUT the powersettings are not adjusted. So if your powersettings
have the monitor turn off after 20 minutes, your presentation will go black
after 20 minutes of inactivity (eg. sitting on the same slide for 20
minutes).

Also, I think Outlook email popup thingies aren't disabled during a
presentation. Could make for some embarrassing situations!
