Mario

Hi,

I try to publish a project with a subprojet but I receive
an error message

--> Cannot publish master project...please contact your
system administrator <--

Why i'm able to save master projects on the server but i'm
unable to publish? I have checked all options and
everything seems to be ok. Anybody can help me?

Thanks,
Mario

Saving and publishing master projects is generally not recommended with
Project 2002 and Project Server because doing so will double your resource
allocations. However, if you feel you must do it in your entire
orgnaization, then the saving and publishing of master projects will need to
be enabled by your Project Server administrator by doing the following:

1. Log into PWA with Administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the "Manage enterprise features" menu
4. Select the "Allow master projects to be saved to Microsoft Project
Server" option
5. Click the Save Changes button
6. Click the "Manage Organization" link in the sidepane
7. Make sure the Features page is displayed
8. Select the "Allow master projects to be published to Microsoft Project
Server" option
9. Click the Save Changes button

Notice that the master projects feature needs to be enabled in two
locations. Hope this helps.
