I'm so foncused

I am in dire need of assistance. I'm actually pretty good at MS Word, Excel,
& Powerpoint, and I just bought Publisher. My big problem is the text box.
In the other programs it works awesome, but in Publisher it only allowes me
to change to crtain fonts. For example if i try to switch to Davidd
(truetype) it ignores me and goes back to Times New Roman. Furthermore, if I
copy and paste a text box with 2 fonts from MS Word, it makes it all Times
New Roman in Publisher. If however I paste to Powerpoint, it stays as the 2
seperate fonts. Someone out there please save me.

Are you highlighting the text you want to change? Do you have all the Office updates?

When I Cut & Paste I'm higlighting correctly. Remember, It's pasting fine in
the other MS programs. Also I can't even change to some of the fonts while
I'm in Publisher. Either I get funny boxes or it stays as the previous font.

Do you have a font manager? Fonts depend on the association to be correct, i.e. if
you change the folder where the font is located, Publisher can't find the font and
consequently the font won't change.

I don't have a font manager (or at least I don't think so). Even so,
wouldn't All MS programs have issues with the fonts? Why is it just
publisher? BTW thanks for your help so far.
