I am trying to link two of my Excel spreadsheets so that when i fill one with
data it automatically updates the other. Can this be done and how?

In the destination file type something like this on A1: =[Book1]Sheet1!$A$1
Only one thing. Make sure you have automatic calculation set on your options.
