Image Changes When Pasted

Whenever I paste an image from Photoshop into Publisher,
the image changes in intensity and quality. Colors are
slightly modifed, particularly whites seem to loose
intensity. I inevitably need to "trick" Publisher by
first brightening and increasing the contrast in
Photoshop before pasting into Publisher. Often it is an
iterative proces, doing this in several tries.
Definitely a waste of time.
Thanks.

Is the result the same when you "paste special?" Maybe saving the image and importing
into Publisher would be a better solution.

Thanks Mary, but perhaps my terminogy was a bit loose. I
actually use the "INSERT" tool to put the picture into my
project. The picture is saved in Photoshop, and then I
Insert>Picture>File>"photo-file" to place the photo into
the project. Do you think that 'copy'> 'paste special'
would be any different? Any other ideas?

Thanks Mary, Yes it is .TIFF. I'll check the article
you referenced. Hope it helps.

Even though it "appears" different, does it "print" different?
