image doubled when printing

Dell Precision desktop Win2k/1GB RAM/Office 2003 updated
to current levels

I have a word document w/ multiple images; when printing,
an image on one page comes out duplicated (in the image
space on the page the picture prints twice, one on top of
the other taking up the space where the single image
should be). All other images in the document print
normally.

This does not show up in any screen views or print
preview. A prior problem of this type was solved by
unchecking the "Allow A4/Letter paper resizing" option in
the tools/options/print dialog.

All attempts at resaving the document, reimporting the
image, etc have been fruitless.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue and/or discovered
a solution?

Many thanks!

Another user posted that printing directly to the printer (omitting
spooling) solves the problem. I haven't yet tried this (I've had this
problem with specific [but not all] JPEGs).

Many thanks, turning off printer spooling and just
printing directly to printer did the trick.
