Image export -> texts render very bad

Hi,

I have a very strange problem with powerpoint's image export feature.
I control powerpoint through COM, exporting each slides of some
presentations to PNG.

On most computers, it works perfectly well, however, on some computers
(often laptops, with winXP and officeXP), the text on the exported
images in rendered horribly. Instead of antialiasing, the characters
are bold and jagged. They do not look the same as with no antialiasing
though (I've also tried with win98 PCs to compare).

So what I've got is roughly three sorts of PCs :

PC 1 - Win98 -> export with no antialiasing
PC 2 -> export with antialiasing ok
PC 3 -> export with bugggy antialiasing...

We've tried almost all configuration of system preferences (cleartype,
etc...), different export resolutions, image format, etc., with no
luck up to now.

My question is : am I missing something ? Then, if it's a know bug
with some versions of Powerpoint/windows/graphic cards, is there a
deterministic way to know if the bug is present on the user's machine
or not ?

Thanks for any input !
