Image Quality in Word

Every time I insert an image in Word from a graphic I make on a program like
Paint Shop Pro (.jpg, .gif, .bmp, etc.) if the background is white, in Word,
it will appear with a slight pink tinge compared to the white background of
the workspace.

Also, the image is usually somewhat fuzzy even if I enlarge it back to its
original size. Is there a setting somewhere where I can make it display as
clear as in the original program such as PSP, etc.?
