images in powerpoint

I understand that you can take a high res image in powerpoint-say 300 dpi-- and compress it down to 200 dpi and obtain a nicer image without slow downloading during a presentation. So, a 200dpi, loads like a 72 dpi without any loss of pace. On the pc you will find this by right clicking on the image and scrolling down the tool bar to "compress image".

I cant seem to find this on the mac version of Powerpoint.
Any advice?
Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy :)

Compressing images is a feature currently not available in Mac Powerpoint.
Your best bet at the moment is to compress the image using some other
graphic editing programme before inserting it into Powerpoint.

We are looking into adding image compression in the future and you can help
by sending us a vote for it via "Help > Send Feedback" with your thoughts on
this issue.

Thanks!
