If you have BMPs embedded in a document, they may not display after
scrolling. Resizing the window causes the window to be redrawn and the
images to appear. Moving another window over Word will also cause the area
to be redrawn but not always completely. Sometimes the text gets messed up
as well but it seems to only happen when there are graphics.
This does not happen with any other programs that I use and it does not seem
to matter what other programs (or how many) are running at the same time.
This has been an issue with many versions of Word over the years and on many
high-end computers.
Current version of Word: Office 2003. (Also happens in Office XP and Office
2000)
Current OS: XP Pro (This also happens in Win2K)
Current computer:
- 2G RAM
- XEON processor.
- Dual display with resolution set to 1600 x 1200 on one and 1280 x 1024
on the other. Graphics card is always something relatively high-end with
lots of onboard RAM.
