Hi Shutterbug,
In Word graphics that are floating (Format=>Picture=>Layout),
that is any layout choice other than 'inline with text' are
not viewable in Normal (fast edit) mode.
If they do not show up in Word in Print Layout view try
turning off the setting in Tools=>Options=>View for
Picture Placeholders.
You didn't mention the version of Office you're using
but you may want to also check in the Powerpoint newsgroup
(link below).
It's possible that your graphics card driver needs updating
or that you need to turn down the graphics acceleration
(right click on the desktop and choose properties).
========
I cannot see images I have pasted into word and powerpoint when I am viewing
my documents in the 'normal' mode, although the images do show up in print
preview mode (as well as in slideshow and thumbnail mode for ppt.) I've
searched the help and can find nothing related to this problem. Please help!
PS. I recently upgraded to SP2 and think the problem does correspond with
this time frame.>>
