IMAP emails moved to local folders...

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: imap

Since I downloaded the latest update, the messages I receive in my IMAP account (on Gmail) automatically get transfered in my "Folders in my computer" Inbox and are deleted from the mail server. If I transfer them manually back to the IMAP Inbox Folder, they sometimes get copied there, sometimes they get duplicated in the "Folders in my computer". I have not changed my mail settings for months, and it was all working fine before the latest program update.
Can someone help?

Thanks
Genevieve.

This is a *very frequent* issue. Check the Rules and the Mailing List
manager. One of them is messed-up and redirecting e-mails to folder in
my computer instead of their original destination.

I had one useless mailing list rule that I had created by accident. I removed it and now everything is back to normal.

Thanks!
