IMAP folders don't display

J

Jerry McCoy

I'm using Entourage 12.2.3 on a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.2).

I've configured Entourage to access my Gmail account using IMAP protocol.

Some of my Gmail folders (labels) do not show up in Entourage. When I
attempt to create the folder manually, I get an error message indicating
that a folder with that name already exists.

Any ideas about (a) why the folder doesn't show up in Entourage? and (b)
what should I do to fix the problem?

Thanks.

New in Labs: Advanced IMAP Controls

Advanced IMAP Controls, a Labs feature that lets you fine-tune your Gmail
IMAP experience. You can choose which labels to sync in IMAP -- useful if
you find your mail client choking on a big [Gmail]/All Mail folder.

After enabling this Lab, just go to the Labels tab under Settings. You'll
see a new 'Show in IMAP' checkbox next to each of your labels. Uncheck the
box and the corresponding folder will disappear from IMAP.

Diane,

I guess I wasn't clear enough. The folders show up if I go to Gmail on the
web. Some of those folders show up in Entourage. Others do not. I'm trying
to find what I need to do to get all my Gmail folders displayed in Entourage
(which Is my preferred way of accessing the Gmail account).

Are the folders selected in this lab, not showing up in Entourage?
