IMAP over HTTP proxy

How can I connect to an IMAP server through my networks HTTP proxy. All
network traffic must go through this proxy that accesses the internet.

IMAP doesn't use http so the use of a http proxy is relevant. It might,
however, be blocked by a firewall. Check with your administrator if you have
issues with IMAP over a corporate network.
