I'm trying to setup an IMAP account in Outlook XP. I used
to use Outlook Express, but had some problems with it.
What I want to do is automatically synchronize message
headers and bodies when I open Outlook. I want the
preview pane to also show the message, without having to
then retrieve it from the IMAP server (ie: keep a local
copy).
My problem with Outlook Express is that it couldn't
synchronize large messages. I have a couple ranging from
a few hundred k to several megabytes, and OE would just
timeout the message and not even attempt to send or
receive large messages between the local copy and the
server.
I'd rather use OE, but if Outlook can overcome this
shortcoming, I would like to know how.
