Imbedded line in text

I have a simple word document resume and a line appears when printed.
It's not there when I look on the screen and I cannot see it in the page
formatting.
Any idea how I can remove it?

This kind of thing is very difficult to troubleshoot, especially at second
hand. It could be something your printer driver is inserting (watermark),
though that's unlikely. In other cases, it's something hidden in the
document XML that can't be found any other way. In another case it was an
artifact created by a hidden field. Does it show up in Print Preview.

It is also possible that it is actually there. It might be a drawing object
placed in front of or behind the text. Try Tools > Options, and on the View
tab under Print and Web Layout options make sure Drawings is checked. If it
was unchecked, go back to the page with the line and see if it is there, and
then select and delete it.
