Imbedding newsletter into an email

B

Bill D.

Could someone tell me if it's possible to embed a newsletter created in
Publisher 2007 in to an email, as opposed to making it an attachment. It
can't be done in 2003 and - without downloading the trial version - I haven't
been able to determine if it's possible in 2007

Thanks.

You just can't have a multi-page email. You could send all of your info in
one long email but then printing is an issue. Do your recipients (and
yourself) a favor - stick to .pdf attachments.

Thanks for your reply JoAnn. Life would be simpler with the .pdf, but my
concern is that some recipients won't open the newsletter if it's an
attachment. When it's part of the email, obviously they just scroll down.

And down and down and down...

If they won't open a file that's clearly marked as this newsletter, why do
you think they would bother scrolling? I fear you're fighting a battle that
you will never win. If you really want to try, you can copy and paste all of
that data inside a newsletter but, speaking for myself, I'd rather have a
regular newsletter attachment because I despise long emails.

That's also better for people who have mail accounts with size limitations.
I have friends with Juno accounts and I will occasionally get a message that
their mailbox is full. (They travel a bit and don't have laptops.)

I don't like or pay much attention to email newsletters. Even if they're
ones I signed up for (LOL)

Can you somehow make the newsletter shorter? Put it in 2 columns (not sure
how that would work sending it, I've never created a newsletter in Publisher
and tried to send it)

If it were me, if I had something good size I wanted to send, I'm set it
up on a webpage, upload it, write a few things about it, maybe with a bright
graphic of some kind, and put the link on the email. But, I'm more used to
making webpages than using Publisher (aside from the basics)

People might not click on an attachment, and some are afraid of these in
email, some emails are set to not let attachments through. But, they might
click on the link to a webpage, especially if it had something interesting
sounding, maybe with a few questions (they'd find the answers to in the
link)

Can't speak for everyone, but I usually can't resist a question.
Though, if I open it and find too much, and the answer(s) buried somewhere
in thousands of words, and I can't see what the point of it is (or feel
tricked into opening it) that's a turn off.

Just feedback
